ILLUSTRATIONS, STORYBOARD AND CONCEPT ART FOR ANIMATED SHORT MOVIE
“Winds of Change” is a critical examination of how healthcare is increasingly treated as a commodity rather than a fundamental right in India.
Munni is a young girl in India, eagerly awaiting the birth of her baby brother. However, instead of joy, the family confronts the harsh realities of a limited healthcare system. The health insurance PPP only covers a set of narrowly defined services, and hospitals regularly demand extra out-of-pocket payments for services that really need to be freely available.
This film is a part of DAWN's multimedia project "Old Dog, New Tricks: Neocolonialism & Public-Private Partnerships in the Global South", which highlights the effects of public-private partnerships on women's lives.
